Amazon Launches Textbook Rentals

Amazon.com announced Monday that it has begun renting out textbooks--the paper kind--via a new service, Amazon Textbook Rental. Amazon said the new service allows college students to rent books for the semester, with return at the end of the rental period with via a free, prepaid shipping label. Amazon said that the service would provide textbooks at up to a 70 percent savings to students.
