Blab Pulls Up $1.5M For Decoding Social Conversations

Blab, a new Seattle startup focused on applying big data to online, social conversations, said Thursdya that it has raised $1.5M in a funding round. The firm said the funding was led by Barry X Lynn, and also included other angels. The firm said it has now raised $3.25M in funding. Blab is applying big data software to predict social conversations online, to help brands and others use social media to engage with audiences.

Blab, which is led by Randy Browning, said that Lynn joins Blab's board with the funding. In addition to Lynn, the company also said that David Snelling, the firm's Chief Technology Officer, will also be joining the board of directors. Browning has previously served at Microsoft, Disney, Webforia, RealityBridge, Soulcraft, Daily Shopper, and DonorsChoose.org. Browning has previously served at McCann-Erickson and Wieden & Kennedy.
