Seattle Number Three In Tech Jobs, Says PayScale

Seattle-based PayScale, the online site which allows users to find salary and pay information about companies and professions, reported Thursday that it has run a study on IT jobs and employment, ranking the top 50 ares in the nation by their IT job opportunities. The bottom line? Seattle is number 3 on its list, nearly tied with Austin, Texas, for its available technology jobs and pay levels. The study, which tracked the top 50 largest areas across the country, ranked San Francisco as number one. The study ranked the areas by salaries and IT job opportunities. PayScale said that the median annual tech startup pay in Seattle is $74,900.
