A Place for Mom Debuts Community Web Site

Seattle-based A Place for Mom, a nationwide elder care referral network, announced Tuesday that it has launched a Web site and online elder care community. The company said the new site allows families to exchange experiences and perspectives on caring for aging members. It also enables them to browse more than 100 senior-related articles and communicate with hundreds of elder care experts. A Place for Mom said its referral network of long-term care providers covers more than 12,000 communities in more than 3,000 U.S. cities. A Place For Mom is venture backed by Battery Ventures and provides an online database of assisted living facilities.
