Adapx Gets Investment From In-Q-Tel

Seattle-based Adapx said today that the firm has scored a strategic investment from In-Q-Tel, the venture investment arm of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Adapx said the funding will go to enhance and market the firm's software products. Adapx develops software used for field data collection, using a digital pen and standard paper. The pen captures and stores notes, sketches, and data; that data can be converted and loaded on a PC and a number of software applications. In-Q-Tel makes investments in companies developing technology that might be of use to the agency, or in an area where the CIA has interests. More information »
