AirAdvice Gains Patent

Portland, Oregon-based AirAdvice, which develops technology for improving efficiency of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, said this week that it has received a patent related to its technology. The firm said the U.S. Patent, number 7,499,821, covers sensor drift in its products, which are used by commercial and residential contractors. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, the patent was filed on January 20, 2006 and actually granted on March 3rd. Meindert J. Kleefstra is named as the inventor on the patent, which was filed by Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, P.C.
