Airbiquity Ties With Hitachi

Seattle-based Airbiquity and Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. announced late last night that the firms are in a partnership. According to the two, they will provide telematics services for electric vehicles in a global deal. Hitachi and Airbiquity said they will establish a common system infrastructure for global services, including such services as helping drivers to find nearby charging stations, to use their cell phones to check their battery conditions, determine optimum routes, and other services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
