Alaska Airlines Offers Free Smartphone Wi-Fi

Alaska Airlines said today that it will offer up free wi-fi for smart phone users, as part of a promotion with Visa. Alaska said that it will offer up complimentary Gogo Wi-Fi service for its passengers using smart phones and iPod touches, throughout August and September. The deal also includes Wi-Fi access to customers who rent its inflight entertainment systems, the digEplayer. Financial terms of the deal with Visa Signature were not disclosed.
