Alike Acquired By Yahoo

Seattle-based mobile app developer Alike, which developed mobile applications to help users get recommendations on local restaurants and other places, has been acquired by Yahoo, Yahoo said Tuesday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Alike said that it will be joining Yahoo's mobile team. As part of the buy, Alike is shutting down both its iPhone and web applications, effective immediately. The entire Alike team is moving to California to join Yahoo in San Francisco and Sunnyvale.
