Amazon Adds iOS, Android Download Support To Prime Video

Amazon.com has added support for downloading videos from Prime Video to the iOS and Android platforms, the company said on Tuesday, saying that there will be no additional charge for those downloads. Amazon said it is the first, online subscription streaming video service to allow downloading. The support means that Amazon Prime Video users will have full access to a large number of shows, even while offline -- for example, on a plane or when roaming around town without a high speed broadband connection. Amazon had already been offering downloads on Amazon Fire devices.
