Amazon.com has extended its cloud-based music service, Amazon Cloud Player, to the car, with a new link to Ford, the firm said today. Amazon said it has connected Amazon Cloud Player to Ford's SYNC service, letting Ford owners wirelessly stream music from the Amazon MP3 app on their Android smartphones. Amazon said the support for Sync lets users access their Cloud Player music libraryin the Ford Applink-equipped vehicles. Those vehicles include the 2013 Ford Fiesta, Mustang, Focus, E-Series, C-MAX Hybrid, Expedition, Fusion, F-150 and Super Duty. Details of the business deal between Amazon and Ford were not announced.
