Seattle-based Amazon.com has acquired a 3D mapping startup, UpNext, according to reports Monday, which will allow it to offer native mapping capabilities in the Kindle. Financial details of the deal--which has yet to be announced--have not been disclosed. UpNext was based in New York, and offered up detailed, 3D maps of cities.
