Amazon Buys Mobile Software Firm

LexCycle, a maker of a mobile book reading application for the iPhone and iPod touch, has been acquired by Amazon.com. According to LexCycle, it is not planning any changes in its application or user experience as a result of the acquisition. LexCycle's application--Stanza--is a free application which allows users to organize book titles, browse through available titles, and read those titles. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed.
