Amazon.com Completes Zappos.com Buy

Seattle-based Amazon.com said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Zappos.com, an online retailer of apparel and footwear. The firm had originally announced its acquisition of Zappos on July 22nd. The deal was worth approximately $807M in Amazon stock. Amazon said that the Zappos management team will remain intact, and will continue operating independently with its headquarters in Las Vegas.
