Amazon.com Sales Hit $6.57 Billion in Q2

Seattle-based Amazon.com reported its second quarter results Thursday afternoon, saying that its net sales increased to $6.57 billion in the second quarter, up 42 percent compared with second quarter 2009, when it had $4.65 billion in net sales. The firm said the growth is coming from Kindle, Amazon Web Services, third-party sales, and retail. Amazon also said that it believes that wireless tablet computers could become a "meaningful" additional driver for the business.
