Amazon.com Shuts Down Quidsi

Seattle-based Amazon.com said on Wednesday that it is shutting down Quidsi, the company that operates Diapers.com and Soap.com, saying that the unit had failed to reach profitability since it was acquired by the company in 2011. Amazon had paid $545M for Quidsi.
