![]() Tuesday, July 3, 2007 Amazon Expands In ArizonaAmazon.com Inc. announced Tuesday that it will open a new fulfillment center later this year in the Grand Canyon State. Amazon said its new facility, which will be based in Phoenix, will cover 600,000 square feet, among the largest for the e-commerce retailer. Amazon said that up to 300 full-time employees will be needed to staff the building, plus an additional 1,000-1,300 temporary jobs during the 2007 holiday season.
