Amazon Extends AWS Infrastructure In Ohio

Amazon Web Services said on Monday that it has started providing its cloud-based services out of a new data center in Ohio, bolstering the company's reach and lowering latency across the eastern and central United States. According to Amazon, the new US East (Ohio) Region brings it to a total of 38 "Availability Zones" and 14 technology infrastructure regions globally. Amazon said the addition of Ohio is part of a planned expansion, which will include nine availability zones and four regions in Canada, the UK, France, and China.
