Amazon.com said last night that its has opened up a new portal for mobile app distribution in the country of Japan. The firm said the new Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal has started inviting developers to submit their apps for distribution in Japan later this year. The online portal will offer up Android apps for phones in Japan. Amazon launched its Android Appstore last year, and recently extended distribution to the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.
