    Amazon Opens UK Fulfillment Center


    Amazon.com's UK subsidiary, Amazon.co.uk, said today that it is opening a new fulfillment center in Swansea, Wales. The new center is expected to create up to 1200 jobs in Wales over the next 5 years, according to Amazon, and up to 1500 additional jobs during the Christmas season. The new, 800,000-square-foot operation is the largest foreign direct investment project in Wales since 2000.
