Amazon Plans International App Store

Seattle-based Amazon.com said Wednesday that it has begun work on an international app store, inviting developers to submit apps for distribution through the site. Amazon said that it will begin international distribution of applications later this year, beginning with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The firm did not give an exact date for launch.
