Amazon Takes On Etsy With Handmade

Look out Etsy, Amazon.com is looking to eat your lunch, with the launch of a new section called Handmade. Amazon.com said the new store will showcase "one-of-a-kind" products created by artisans--exactly the market that is targeted by Etsy. Amazon.com said the new section features more than 80,000 quality, handcrafted items from artisans, from earrings to artwork and lamps. Amazon said the items on the new site must be made by hand, and cannot have been made in a factory.
