Amazon Web Services, the web services arm of Amazon.com, saw a major outage Friday night, due to an outage at the firm's Northern Virginia data centers. The services went down around 9:10 p.m. PT, and later fully returned to service Saturday afternoon. The outage took down Instagram, LinkedIn, and countless other web sites which rely on Amazon's Web Services.
