Attensa Looks To Attract Users With Trial

Portland, Oregon-based Attensa is looking to attract users to the firm's RSS feed reading software with a free trial, the firm said yesterday. Attensa said that the new trial version of the firm's feed server software supports up to five users and unlimited feeds, and is intended to allow people to evaluate and pilot its software. Attensa's software is used by enterprise customers to monitor RSS feeds from blogs, news publications, and other web sites; the product is available as a virtual appliance built on software from rPath. Attensa's RSS feed software competes against similar offerings from NewsGator and KnowNow.
