Avalara Buys Tax Software Line From FuelQuest

Bainbridge Island-based tax software developer Avalara is expanding its sales tax software empire today, saying it has acquired the Excise Tax Software Solutions line from FuelQuest. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. FuelQuests's Zytax products provide transactional tax processin information to retail fuel and energy companies. Avalara said the move would broaden and deepen its tax content. FuelQuest was advised by Greenberg Traurig, LLP and JMP Securities in the sale; Avalara said it was advised by DLA Piper LLP.
