beRecruited Acquired By Investment Firm
Seattle-based beRecruited, an online web site focused on high school athletes looking to be recruited by colleges, has been acquired by RVS Ventures, and investment firm based in Atlanta. Financial terms were not disclosed. beRecruited was founded in 2000 by Ryan Spoon, and originally focused on NCAA swimming and diving. RVS Ventures is the investment firm of Raymond Sozzi, who founded youth marketing firm Student Advantage. Jeff Cravens, formerly vice president and general manager of ESPN360.com, has become the firm's President as part of the acquisition.
