Bing Links Into Facebook's New Graph Search
It looks like Microsoft's warm relationship with Facebook is directly benefiting Bing today, as Facebook announced its new, "Graph Search" feature, which allows users to better search Facebook for information. According to Bing, as part of Facebook's new featuer, its two engineering teams have worked together to create a unified search experience. As a result, users searching on Facebook not only get information from Facebook, but also will see web serach results from Bing, mapped into Facebook's social context. Bing said the integration means that Facebook's new search results page will feature two columns, with Bing's web results on the left hand side, mapped into Facebook's social raph, along with content specifically from Facebook Pages and apps on the right column.
