Blue Box Extends Series A To $4.3M

Seattle-based cloud hosting and managed services firm Blue Box said today that it has completed a $4.3M, Series A funding. Blue Box said the round was over-subscribed, and was an increase over the earlier $3.5M funding it announced last year from Voyager Capital. Blue Box said the funding was led by Founder Collective, and will go to accelerate product innovation, secure additional engineering talent, and expand its marketing and sales efforts. As part of the funding, David Frankel of Founder Collective has joined the company's board. Blue Box operates a cloud hosting service which helps clients automate and manage their web applications.
