Seattle-based Blue Gecko, provider of remote database administration services, has been acquired by Colorado-based Datavail, the two companies said this morning. Financial arrangements behind the acquisition were not announced by the companies, who said the move would make Datavail among the largest providers of remote database administration services in North America. Blue Gecko's principals, Chuck Edwards and JJ Ecker will assume executive management positions with Datavail and remain based in Seattle, the companies said.
