    Bocada Rolls Out Upgrade


    Bellevue, Washington-based data protection software provider Bocada rolled out an upgrade to the firm's software this morning. The firm said today that its new Bocada Enterprise 4 improves scalability and compliance support, and now supports data collection across thousands of backup servers. Other enhancements include a new Java-based web reporting service and better compliance and monitoring tools to monitor for network outages and other issues. The firm's software is used for monitoring data protection and backup software. Bocada is backed by Catamount Ventures, Guide Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, Partech International, and Second Avenue.
