Boeing, Microsoft Pledge $50M For Scholarships




Both The Boeing Company and Microsoft said Monday that they have pledged $25M each to support efforts to increase the number of students in Washington earning bachelor's degrees. According to the two, they have pledged $25 million each over the next five years to the new Washington Opportunity Scholarship program and endowment. The pledges are part of an overall, $100M effort to provide scholarships to low- and middle-income students. The new scholarship program was created under HB 2088 spearheaded by Rep. Tim Probst, D-Vancouver.
