BrightVolt Gets $5M In Ongoing Funding Round

Redmond-based BrightVolt, which develops ultra-thin film, flexible batteries, announced this morning that it has raised $5M, as part of an ongoing Series B funding round. The initial funding came from New Science Ventures. BrightVolt, which is led by Todd Peters, says it is targeting the Internet-of-Things (IoT), medical device, and wearable market with its batteries. The company said the round remains open, but did not give a target size of the funding.
