Broadmark Capital Backs NewsCrafted For Custom School Newsletters

Seattle-based investor Broadmark Capital has backed a company which provides professionally designed, color newsletters to elementary and middle schools. According to Broadmark, NewsCrafted--based in Los Angeles--has raised $1.1M as part of a second, angel funding round, which included Broadmark and a syndicate of un-named angels. NewsCrafted lets elementary and middle school create their own, color, magazine-quality newsletters containing custom content and local ads, using its own software and printing technology. The new funding comes on top of an earlier $1.25M in angel funding for the company. Broadmark Capital helps advise on capital raises for companies, and also invests in companies itself.
