    Centeris Changes Name to Likewise Software


    Centeris Corp., a publisher of cross-platform integration software, reported Tuesday that it has changed its name to Likewise Software. Likewise explained that the new name "builds on the success" of its Likewise product brand with large enterprise customers. Headquartered in Bellevue,Wash., Likewise applications are Windows-based utilities that system administrators use to integrate Linux, UNIX and Mac systems into the Microsoft Active Directory. Likewise Software is a privately funded company backed by venture capital firms Ignition Partners, Intel Capital and Trinity Ventures.
