    ClearEdge Power Gets $2M


    Hillsboro, Oregon-based ClearEdge Power, a manufacturer of fuel cells for the continuous power and backup power market, has received $2M in venture funding. ClearEdge has received an investement from Applied Ventures, the the investement subsidiary of Applied Materials. Applied Ventures also said that Applied Materials will support to ClearEdge on several projects as part of a joint development agreement. ClearEdge is looking to commercialize reliable, low-cost stationary fuel cell generators using semiconductor manufacturing processes.
