Clearwire Aims New Service At SMBs

Bellevue-based 4G, wireless broadband provider Clearwire announced Thursday that it has launched a new, 4G wireless service specifically aimed at small and midsized businesses. According to Clearwire, its new service, CLEAR Professional, will roll out in approximately 80 cities across the U.S. Clearwire is tapping a set of partners to sell the plans, including X4 Solutions, Telecom Brokerage, Inc., WTG, and Resource Communications Group. Clearwire explained that it will initially include three plans--a service for primary, broadband Internet, costing $30 to $120 per month; a backup Internet service costing $24 to $45 a month; and a combination of the two, which costs $45 to $115 per month.
