Clearwire Expands in Boston, Daytona Beach, and Providence
Kirkland-based Clearwire announced a new expansion of its network today, saying it has now opened up access in Boston; Daytona Beach, Florida; and Providence, Rhode Island. Clearwire said its CLEAR wireless Internet service reaches more than 2.5 million people in Boston, more than 190,000 people in the Greater Daytona Beach area, and more than 590,000 people in the Providence area. The firm said the additional markets bring it to a total of 52 markets across the U.S. The firm said its next targeted areas for launch are Tampa Bay and Orlando, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee.
