    Clearwire Expands Into Charlotte, N.C.


    Kirland-based Clearwire said this morning that it has officially launched its wireless high-speed Internet service in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to Clearwire, it has begun offering its service almost anywhere in the Clearwire service area. Clearwire said it will offer wireless broadband and Internet phone service throughout the city, as an alternative to dial-up, cable, and DSL service. According to the firm, the firm now offers its service in 16 states across the U.S., plus Europe and Mexico.
