    Clearwire Launches In Nashville

Kirkland, Washington-based Clearwire, the wireless ISP founded by Craig McCaw, said today that it has officially launched its high speed Internet services in Nashville, Tennessee. Clearwire is targeting its services as an alternative to dial-up, cable, and DSL Internet connections; the firm's services use the emerging WiMax wireless standard to provide connectivity. The deployment in Nashville is the first for the company in Tennessee.
