Clearwire Sets Next Target Markets

Kirkland-based Clearwire has announced its next target markets, saying today that it will launch its wireless service in Boise, Idaho; Bellingham, Washington, and eight markets in Texas on September 1st. The firm said it now plans to launch Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Honolulu, Philadephia, and Seattle during 2009, and New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Houston, and the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010. The firm just opened up access in Las Vegas last week, and Atlanta in June. The new Texas markets the firm will be launching in September include Abilene, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, Killeen/Temple, Waco and Wichita Falls.
