Concur Buys Hipmunk

Bellevue-based travel and expense management software developer Concur said late Tuesday that it has acquired Hipmunk, which develops travel search tools. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Concur said it will use Hipmunk--and its team--to deliver consumer-grade products to corporate customers. Concur said the acquisition will help build on earlier acquisition of TripIt, its development of ExpenseIt, and investment in ClearTrip--all consumer apps which have helped the company provide better products to its corporate customers. Hipmunk was venture backed by Oak Investment Partners, Institutional Venture Partners and Ignition Partners, and also included such notable local angels as Rich Barton and Rob Glaser.
