Corbis Buys Splash News

Seattle-based Corbis Images, the image rights firm, said yesterday that it has acuqired Splash News, the celebrity photography and video provider. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Splash News is known for its celebrity photos--and paparazzi. Corbis said the deal will bolster its access to candid celebrity photography. Corbis is owned by Microsoft's Bill Gates.
