Cray In Strategic Deal With Software Developer

Supercomputer maker Cray has announced an extended distribution deal and strategic alliance with software development tools developer Rogue Wave Software. According to the companies, the two are in a distribution agreement which will let Cray offer Rogue Wave's debugger and optimization tools directly to its customers. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Seattle-based Cray has been using Rogue Wave's debuggers for years; the companies said that 22 or the 25 fastest Cray supercomputers in the world, per the TOP500 list, were using Rogue Wave's TotalView debugger.
