Cray Wins Deal In Australia




Seattle-based Cray, the maker of supercomputers, has scored a contract in Australia, to install its next generation Cray supercomputer and storage systems at a data center. According to Cray, the contract with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), in Perth, Australia, is valued at more than $21M. The Cray "Cascade" supercomputer and Cray Sonexion storage systems will be used for data-intensive science projects.
