Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray reports this morning that it has received an order for one of its Cray XMT Supercomputers from the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) in Manno, Switzerland. Financial terms of the win were not disclosed. Cray said the order is its first for its next generation Cray XMT System. CSCS is an existing Cray customer. The system is expected to be delivered later this year, after Cray launches the next generation XMT.
