cyPOP Launches Online Community Centered On Interests

Are you interested in connecting with other people who share your interests? A new Seattle startup, cyPOP, said Tuesday that it is looking to help people share, explore, and discuss similar interest through its new service. The startup-- founded by Glenn Walker, Josie Baik and Eric Sheckler--has created an online site centered around online "cafes" based on interests, which lets anyone connect with others with similar interests. The firm said it was inspired by digital cafes in South Korea. cyPOP's service is among a number of sites looking to create communities not around existing social networks and connections, but instead focused on vertical interests.
