Data Center Operator Gets $55.5M For New Portland Data Center

Data center operator T5 Data Centers, a nationwide data center operator, has raised $55.5M to build out a new facility in the Portland area, according to commercial lending company CIT Group. CIT Group said that T5@Portland is planning to build a new, 140,000 square foot Tier II data center in Hillsboro, funded by $55.5M in a senior secured credit facility. The companies said that Portland is "one of the most desired data center markets in the United States", citing the city's access to clean and reasonably priced energy, limited natural disaster risk, "prolific" network connectivity, and a skilled workforce. T5 is based in Atlanta and San Francisco.
