Delve Details Changes After Limelight Buy

Seattle-based Delve Networks, the video sharing and hosting service run by Alex Castro, has detailed the changes at the firm resulting from its acquisition last week by Limelight Networks. According to a letter to customers posted by Castro, the acquisition came after the firm concluded it would need to "heavily invest" in building out global sales and in technology to continue its rate of success. The firm said that although it "certainly considered" going alone as an independent company, it began engaging in discussion with strategic partners. Among other details, Castro said that he becomes VP and General Manager of Limelight's Video Platform Solutions Group, that there are no changes to its staffing, and that it will be integrating its platform with Limelight's CDN services. Castro also said Delve will continue developing its products in Seattle. Limelight said it would buy Delve on August 2nd.
