DiscoverOrg Buys ZoomInfo

Vancouver, Washington-based DiscoverOrg, a provider of information for sales and marketing teams, says it has acquired competitor Zoom Information (ZoomInfo), which is based in Waltham, Mass. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to DiscoverOrg, the deal will help it provide its comprehensive B2B data to sales, marketing, and recruiting professionals. Both DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo provide business information to sales and marketing teams, helping them develop list of prospects and potential customers, and offer up contact data and company information to sales teams. DiscoverOrg is led by co-founder and CEO Henry Schuck. DiscoverOrg says it plans to bring together the separate databases of the two companies over the next year.
