DocuSign Awards $25K To Developers

Seattle-based DocuSign, the developer of electronic signature software-as-a-service, said yesterday that it has awarded $25,000 in cash prizes as part of a development contest it ran in San Francisco over the weekend. The contest challenged users to come up with innovative ways to use the firm's electronic signature service. The winner of $10,000 was developer Philippe Furlan, who developed an app to electronically sign petitions as part of the legislative process. Other apps developed includes an app for signing delivery slips, an app for handling signatures from contractors, and a school permission slip application aimed at schools.
